Electronic Computer Systems - secondary technical degree study

Admission requirements:

- certificate of primary education
- entrance examinations – Czech Language, Maths /writen forms/
- entrance interview - Physics

Study content and organisation

Students gain expert knowledge in theoretical and applied electronics. This knowledge is developed in other technical branches – automation, measuring, regulating(control), but first of all computer technology. Information Technology (IT) is the main content of study. Students gain more detailed information on the computer structure, operation and computer networks and acquaint themselves with the development tendencies in Computer Science.
Students acquire basic knowledge in computer programming, application programming and master simulating programs. They also get wide information on using graphics programs, computer architecture, computer department, computer diagnostics and computer networks in technical practise.

Job opportunities
School leavers are offered a wide range of jobs in the field of electrical engineering and information technology:

- electrician/technician, project designer, project constructor
- computer engineer, computer operator, computer manager for computer assembly, configuration and diagnostics
- computer programmer
- computer operator (specialist) for computer maintenance, computer sale and distribution

Further education

- random access to any college or any other school of higher learning
- random access to a higher education of the same or a different type of study at the Universities in Ostrava, Brno and Prague

Education – Training conditions

Education and training are carried out i n a new Secondary School building in Vsetínská Street. We have invested heavily in the very best facilities. All classrooms meet the highest quality standards. All classrooms are equipped with data projectors which enable to improve effectivness of education and to achieve better results especially with our hearing impaired students. Students can use two fully equipped computer classrooms. Each student works separately in IT lessons and has got user access to his/her personal operating area where he/she operates under his/her user name. All classrooms have got Internet access which is widely used by students either during the lessons or afternoon activities.
Electrical Engineering lessons are carried out in special classrooms, laboratories and workshops for practical training. Students gain expert knowledge in basic principles of electronic circuits – their diagnostics, simulation, measuring and applications in technical practise. Workshops include working places fit for locksmithery and electrical training. Students learn basic workmanship for manufacturing simple electronical components ( generators, amplifiers, e.g.).
Computer classrooms are also used for Czech Language, English Language, Economics and Technology lessons.
Students are oblidged to perform two-week practical training experience usually at the end of the 2nd and 3rd form.

Electrician – Apprenticeship Training Centre

Admission requirements

Study content and organisation

Three-year long study programme.
The study programme lead to Apprenticeship Final Exams.
Graduates get Apprenticeship Certificates at Passing-out Ceremony.

Students gain expert knowledge in theoretical and applied electronics,heavy current electrotechnics, technics of measurment, automation and computer technology. Graduates are able to work with wiring systems, electronic components and printed circuits. They also gain basic knowledge in safety rules in electrotechnics and maintaining electronic equipment.

Alumni relations

The electricians who achieved excellent results during their studies and get successfully through final exams have an opportunity to carry on with their studies in our Secondary School of Electrical Engineering. The best students can enter upon 2nd form passing additional examinations.
In cooperation with the Solid Team Company our school arranges a qualifying course for the Hearing Impaired. In the end of the course the participants obtain Certificate of Attendance according to the training time.

Gardener – Apprenticeship Training Centre

Admission requirements

- certificate of primary education
- health statement
- entrance interviews

Each class is in capacity to accept two applicants without hearing impairment under the condition the Hearing Impaired or the students with any other disabilities have priority.

Study content and organization

Three-year long study programme.
The study programme lead to Apprenticeship Final Exams.
Graduates get Apprenticeship Certificates at Passing-out Ceremony.
Gardeners gain basic knowledge in gardencraft – greengrocery, floriculture, fruit growing and orchading. They also acquaint themselves with the spheres of management, business and distribution in the field of gardening.

Catering:

There are the school kitchen and the refectory servery that offer a mixture of freshly prepared dishes as full boarding or one midday meal for extern students.

Accomodation:

The school offers accomodation for students in its Boarding House which is an integral part of the school buildings. Our halls meet the highest quality standards of comfort and services, including internet connections, equipped kitchenettes, TV rooms, sports facilities, IT rooms, laundrettes etc.
